Publisher Verification & KYC Policy
Publisher access is trust-gated using email, mobile, identity/business information and professional/social proof, with administrator approval.
Individual publisher
Required: email confirmation, mobile review, Aadhaar review, Udyam/MSME review and optional LinkedIn manual review.
Registered organization
Required: email confirmation, mobile review, Aadhaar review, GSTIN review and optional LinkedIn manual review.
Organization not registered for GST
Required: email confirmation, mobile review, Aadhaar review, Udyam/MSME review and optional LinkedIn manual review.
Format validation
The platform performs local format checks only. Final verification is a manual administrator decision.
Data minimization
Raw Aadhaar is never stored by StartupStack. A salted one-way hash is retained only for duplicate-account prevention. GSTIN/Udyam may be retained for administrator review and account operations.
No alternative social login
Google and other social sign-up providers are not offered. LinkedIn is only a manually reviewed professional/social proof link and does not replace identity/business review.
Implementation note: This page is a platform implementation baseline, not a legal opinion. StartupStack should validate it with Indian privacy/corporate counsel and update it for its actual vendors, retention periods, contracts, security controls and notified obligations before relying on it as a final legal document.
